LOCATION: Saint Ives, Cambridge

JOB TITLE: Project Engineer

SALARY & BENEFITS: Full Time, 9 - 5.30pm, Monday - Friday + overtime

WORKING HOURS: £30K to £35K per annum

THE COMPANY: Our client is based in Saint Ives, Cambridge and are a stainless steel welding company offering a manufacturing solution to many different industries Due to expansion, they are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join their friendly team.

THE ROLE: For the role of the Project Engineer, these exciting new role(s) will include taking full responsibility of projects from order receipt to customer sign off and also on smaller projects handing work over from the Sales Department to the Production Department.

Key Responsibilities for the Project Engineer role to include:-
Reading and understanding of manufacturing drawings
Providing manufacturing solutions to conceptional ideas
Creation of Bills of Materials
Creation of Quality Control Plans
Creation of Documentation Packages
Liaising directly with the client to understand their requirements
Liaising with Sales and Production
Working within a schedule and to a budget
Liaising with third party contractors

THE CANDIDATE: For the role of the Project Engineer, you will have excellent attention to detail, be able to work independently and as part of a team and be an effective communicator. You will need to live within a commutable distance to Saint Ives, Cambridge.

Key requirements essential for the role of Project Engineer:-
Experience of working with a manufacturing environment
Qualified with a technical degree or have sufficient relevant experience
3D CAD experience would be advantageous
A full UK driving licence would be desirable
