Job Description

Our client, an online retailer of table, bar and glassware, is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, with an ambitious personality who wants to progress and grow with the company. They must also be self motivated with the ability to manage their own area.

Location: Royston/Melbourne

Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday

Salary: £20,000-£25,000

Start date: ASAP

Parking: Yes

Main duties:

* Sales Ledger (Exporting & Reconciliations / No Invoice Processing)
* Credit Control
* Processing Bank Accounts & Reconciliations
* Payroll Reporting, Processing Cover & P11D's
* Monthly Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations
* Preparing VAT Return, EC Sales List & Intrastat Report
* Assist in preparing Monthly Management Accounts
* Assist with Cashflow Forecasting
* Assist and support the finance team to complete ad-hoc projects to improve systems, processes and month end procedures

Essential skills:

* Minimum requirement, AAT qualified OR a minimum of 5 years proven experience in an accounting / finance role

* Experience of Microsoft Office particularly Excel
* Sage 50
* Sage Payroll
